When you lease your propane tank from Boehlke Bottled Gas, it makes your life so much easier.
You don’t need to pay upfront to purchase and install a propane tank. You don’t have to worry about your installation because our tank installers are trained, experienced, and committed to safety. You don’t have to worry about maintenance or repairs. Because that’s our job!
We’re not with your tank all of the time, however. It’s a good idea to check up on your tank from time to time.
Do an inspection. Inspect your tank thoroughly for any signs of rust. Left unattended, rust could degrade your tank to the point of creating a leak. If you lease your tank with us and see rust, get in touch and we’ll professionally clean and paint it. Do you own your own tank and are painting it? Leave your propane tank color light. Propane tanks are white or other light colors for a reason. Propane expands in heat. The light color reflects heat away from the tank. Dark colors absorb light and could cause the propane in your tank to expand to dangerous levels.
If you notice something doesn’t look right on your propane tank, we’ll come out and fix it. If you own your propane tank, contact a professional to repair it. Propane tank repairs are not a DIY project.
Clean up. Make sure the route from your driveway to your propane tank is free of obstructions and at least a foot wide. It’s also a good idea to remove any woodpiles or other combustibles away from the tank, as well as any branches or other debris. The driveway also has to be accessible for our delivery truck. Trim bushes and trees around the driveway to prevent damaging the trucks and allow our driver to safely navigate your driveway. Remove bikes, scooters, toys, and other items from the driveway the day delivery is scheduled. If we can’t safely get to your propane tank, we may not be able to deliver your propane.
